One event on February 7, 2020 at 10:00 am
International Operating Engineers is holding an Information Session for its Pre-Apprenticeship Class on Friday, February 7th, 10:00 AM, at Operating Engineers Local 926 (6621 Dale Road, Rex, GA).
The Operating Engineers Pre-Apprenticeship and Registered Apprenticeship Skills Upgrade Training is approved/certified by U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and also, listed on Georgia State Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). Apprenticeship is an excellent way to learn a craft and to earn an income at the same time. The system is designed to give someone who knows little or nothing about the trade the knowledge to become a journey-level operating engineer. The average length of an operating engineer apprenticeship is three to four years. During this period, apprentices learn their trade by working with skilled, journey-level operating engineers on actual job sites, and attending related classroom instruction and/or field training leading to a nationally recognized, stackable portable credential accepted by industries and employers across the US and Canada.
