The Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX) is hosting MAX Minutes with Tina Fernandez and Yarbrah Peoples on Friday, October 30th, at 9:00 AM.
By 2025, projections state 60 percent of jobs in Georgia will require some type of higher education, yet only 47.9% of today’s young adults qualify. Strategic student supports play an important role in increasing the number of Georgia students that enroll and complete a degree or certificate at a technical college or university. This MAX Minutes will feature a discussion of how Covid-19 has impacted the ability to administer supports, how the need has changed, and long-term implications for our future workforce. Tina Fernandez, Executive Director with Achieve Atlanta, and Yarbrah Peeples, Senior Director of Programs – East with College Advising Corps, will join MAX to discuss student supports related to post-secondary education during Covid.
