The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) is hosting a webinar on The Practitioner Learning Pathway: A Resource for Working With Skilled Immigrants on Thursday, August 13th, at 2:00 PM EST (1:00 PM CDT).
Jobversity, an initiative of Upwardly Global, leverages the power of online learning to enhance the competencies of workforce professionals and empower skilled immigrant job seekers. At Upwardly Global, we promote inclusive economies by supporting the integration of the more than 2M college-educated immigrants and refugees that are college-educated with in-demand skills and work experience, yet languishing in unemployment or underemployment. In this workshop, Upwardly Global will help participants understand how to effectively coach skilled immigrants by identifying the common barriers to employment they face as skilled newcomers.
