TAG Education Collaborative: 2018 Digital Student Immersion Experience (DSIE)

The TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) is pleased to announce the 2018 Digital Student Immersion Experience (DSIE) from Friday, October 12^th to Sunday, October 14^th at Dragon Army.   The 2018 Digital Student Immersion Experience will be held in the Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta and is accessible via MARTA.

DSIE is a weekend long program similar to a hack-a-thon where students will network with industry professionals as they create websites for nonprofits in the Atlanta community.  This year the program will take place This program is in collaboration with the nonprofit 48in48 and funded by LexisNexis Risk Solutions to allow students to participate free of charge.  We will select approximately 24 to 30 students to participate in this opportunity.  The 2018 Digital Student Immersion Experience will provide high-achieving students with the opportunity to develop technology skills and build their portfolio, and make a significant impact on the local community.

Interested students must be:

• high school students between the ages of 16 and 18;
• have a passion for science, technology, engineering, or math;
• have a strong academic record; demonstrate a level of maturity and program readiness; and
• exhibit a strong sense of self-motivation and ability to work in teams.
