The Annie E. Casey Foundation: Changing the Odds: Progress and Promise in Atlanta

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is hosting a session on Changing the Odds: Progress and Promise in Atlanta on Thursday, June 6th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College Easley Pavilion & Conference Center.
This event will bring together peers from the public, private, and philanthropic sectors to explore promising policies and approaches that are helping to change the odds for African-American families in Atlanta.
Drawing on findings and recommendations from a new Casey Foundation report, attendees will examine the systemic and structural barriers that are preventing Atlantans of color, especially those living along and south of Interstate 20, from accessing the opportunities necessary to thrive ― and the strategies that several forward-thinking organizations are implementing to establish more equitable pathways to education, housing, income and careers. The goal is to find scalable solutions for working together to ensure every Atlantan can access the opportunities necessary for them to fully contribute to, and benefit from, our city’s growing economy.
