University of Georgia 2018 STEM Institute on Teaching and Learning

The University of Georgia’s Office of STEM Education in cooperation with UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the Office of Research is hosting the 2018 STEM Institute on Teaching and Learning on Wednesday, April 18th, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at the UGA Center for Continuing Education (1197 South Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA).

The symposium will focus on measuring and enabling business engagement in STEM education.  This is a great opportunity for workforce development professionals to interact with industry leaders, faculty, and students about how we can best direct and use business and industry investment toward STEM workforce development.   UGA’s research intends to help develop tools that help schools, universities and employers better measure their engagement for STEM student success.  This symposium is an opportunity for workforce development professionals, faculty, education administrators, and industry to learn and contribute to the research regarding strategic investments in STEM education to improve student persistence in a STEM major and ultimately the pursuit a STEM related career.
