The Urban League of Greater Atlanta, with the funding support and partnership of WorkSource DeKalb, has launched and is operating the Urban Youth Empowerment Program DeKalb (UYEP DeKalb) to provide viable pipelines to support DeKalb County ‘out of school’ youth ages 18-24 under two program tracks:
(1) Track #1: GED Prep and Placement – this track will support DeKalb County youth to access secondary credentials via GED prep assistance, career exploration and development, and placement in an occupational skills training program and/or sustainable employment, and
(2) Track #2: Occupational Training and Career Placement — this track will support DeKalb County youth with career exploration and development, college and career readiness, post-secondary occupational skills credentialing and connections to sustainable employment in career pathways. The Urban Youth Empowerment Program DeKalb aims to assist young adults in reaching their educational and career goals.
