INTEGRATED EDUCATION AND TRAINING COORDINATOR, GWINNETT TECHNICAL COLLEGE
The Integrated Education and Training Coordinator (IETC), who is part of Gwinnett Tech’s Adult Education Dept., is responsible for advancing the department’s Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) objectives through the delivery of programs, services and events related to the Integrated Education and Training (IET) initiative and Wrap-Around Supports program. The IETC leads outreach efforts and participant recruitment, as well as coordinating the program and retention efforts. The goal of this position is to build community capacity to implement the adult education department’s goals of providing education and training opportunities that put adults on the pathway to family sustaining careers, through resident and cross-sector engagement.
A high level of independent judgment is required to effectively carry out the essential duties of the job and the incumbent is expected to manage both the IET program administration and education delivery by developing techniques and procedures as appropriate, to increase adult participation in occupational training for high demand careers. This person works cooperatively with all Adult Education and Gwinnett Tech faculty and staff where applicable. The IETC reports to the Dean of Adult Education.
