|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until January 23, 2021

Harvard Business Publishing is hosting a teaching series seminar on Teaching in Online and Hybrid Classes: Key Elements for Success from Thursday, January 21st to Saturday, January 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day.

COVID-19 has accelerated the shift to online education and increased the premium on flexible hybrid formats that can accommodate both in-person and online students. Yet many educators are scrambling to adapt their teaching plans, tools and techniques to online and hybrid platforms. This seminar will provide practical skills to help instructors teach in multiple formats – online, hybrid, and in-person while simultaneously honing educators’ competency in leading synchronous case discussions in all three formats. Attendees will learn techniques for building community, engaging students, orchestrating effective discussions, board management, and other key elements to consider when preparing to teach. This seminar is facilitated by faculty affiliated with Harvard Business School who have many years of experience teaching online and in-person. The seminar will be delivered virtually.

NOTE: This seminar is offered only to teaching faculty at degree-granting institutions.
