MAX Academy: Resources Through the Federal Pipeline
June 22 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
The Metro Atlanta exchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX) will hold its next MAX Academy virtually on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
As we’ve been living in unprecedented times, we’re seeing an unprecedented response at the federal and state levels to help our communities, businesses, and neighbors build back better.
With the American Jobs Plan in progress and several other pieces of legislation in the works that promise to have meaningful impacts for our region’s workforce, it is challenging for even the most ardent watcher to make heads and tails of all the resources potentially coming down the pipeline. It’s one thing to have the resources available, it’s another thing to know how best to access them and apply them to the work we do in workforce development.
On June 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, we will do a deeper dive into tenets of the American Jobs Plan, and other legislation underway, and what all this could mean for job seekers and employers alike. Joining us will be Rob Garcia, Manager, Business Leaders United, National Skills Coalition, and others to be determined.
Both IAWP and NAWDP now recognize training programs held through the MAX Academy as relevant training hours for their certification programs. Hours spent attending MAX Academy workshops can count as training hours for earning a Certified Workforce Professional (CWP) credential from IAWP and also as professional development (continuing education) hours for CWP recertification. For NAWDP’s Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) credential, NAWDP will accept MAX Academy training hours toward the professional development hours required for CWDP recertification.
This virtual event is free for MAX members but registration is required.
