As workforces become increasingly diverse, the need for organizations to effectively recruit, develop and retain employees from a variety of backgrounds is now more important than ever before. Hiring people from different backgrounds creates a more diverse workforce, but an inclusive workplace must be intentionally created. The pathway to building truly inclusive organizational cultures that promote high-performance begins with an understanding of unconscious biases that hinder the progress of diversity and inclusion efforts.
