DESCRIPTION:The Positive Outreach Development Society Inc. is hosting the P.O.W.E.R. Conference Atlanta’s Reentry Simulation & PICS Awareness Event on Saturday\, April 4th\, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM\, at Atlanta City Hall. \nThis event is especially meaningful because it is being led and organized by individuals who are currently incarcerated\, in collaboration with community partners. Their leadership\, vision\, and lived experience are at the center of the conference\, making this a powerful and rare opportunity to support reentry efforts that are truly community-driven. \nThe P.O.W.E.R. Conference (Positive Outreach Will Enhance Reentry) is designed to: \n(1) increase awareness of Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS)\, \n(2) provide an immersive reentry simulation experience\, \n(3) bring together workforce\, education\, nonprofit\, employer\, and justice-impacted stakeholders\, and \n(4) spark collaboration that leads to real pathways for employment\, support\, and reintegration. \nClick here to learn more and register.
