MAX Academy Connects Workforce Developers With Program Leaders at the Georgia Department of Human Services in partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia

November 27, 2017

On Wednesday, November 15th, MAX co-presented a workshop with the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) and Goodwill of North Georgia to provide an overview on the many resources available through DHS’ Division of Family and Children Services and the Office of Child Support Services. The program featured a keynote address from Ann Carter, DHS State Director for the Office of Family Independence, who spoke of her passion for helping Georgia’s families and children.

More than 50 workforce developers in the Atlanta region attended the workshop to connect with program leaders and learn more. The program also attracted workforce developers from the middle Georgia and Savannah areas. In addition to connecting with DHS, participants were provided a wonderful opportunity for workforce developers to meet other new contacts to follow up with in the days ahead. MAX Academy participants were treated to a lunch catered by one of Goodwill of North Georgia’s GoodBiz graduates.

Stay tuned for future events to come together through MAX and others!
