Workforce Happenings

MAX Mondays

MAX Mondays is our weekly digest to help workforce developers stay abreast of the many happenings in the Atlanta region’s workforce development community.  It is largely distributed every Monday with the exception of state and federal holidays (when it is delivered on the following Tuesday) and the last two weeks of December.

MAX Mondays provides a central place to learn about upcoming career fairs, information sessions, training events and other programs for the job seekers served by workforce developers.   The weekly update also includes information on upcoming conferences, webinars, and other special events designed to help workforce developers and employers connect with each other and with helpful resources.

Launched in September 2016, MAX Mondays reaches over 2,500 workforce developers – representing service providers, educational entities, intermediaries, employers, and funders serving at the local, regional, state, or national levels.

MAX ALERT: Georgia Quick Start Partners with Socomec to Support 300 New Jobs with Training at Gwinnett Tech: Georgia Quick Start hosted a training plan signing on May 27, 2026 to commemorate its partnership with Socomec and Gwinnett Technical College. Georgia Quick Start Northern Operations Director Bruce Batton met with leaders of Socomec at Gwinnett Technical College to commemorate the signing of the training plan for nearly 300 new hires. A French company known for its work in industrial power management, Socomec announced its plan to build a $10 million-dollar advanced manufacturing facility in Suwanee late last year. Following the signing, Quick Start will begin the delivery of training materials customized to meet Socomec’s needs. Click here to learn more.

If you have any updates to share in the next distribution of MAX Mondays, please submit your information to communications@metroatlantaexchange.org by close of business on the Thursday preceding the week you wish for your submission to appear. MAX members can also submit events directly through the MAX website when logging in as a member.
