MAX Mondays is our weekly digest to help workforce developers stay abreast of the many happenings in the Atlanta region’s workforce development community. It is largely distributed every Monday with the exception of state and federal holidays (when it is delivered on the following Tuesday) and the last two weeks of December.
MAX Mondays provides a central place to learn about upcoming career fairs, information sessions, training events and other programs for the job seekers served by workforce developers. The weekly update also includes information on upcoming conferences, webinars, and other special events designed to help workforce developers and employers connect with each other and with helpful resources.
Launched in September 2016, MAX Mondays reaches over 2,600 workforce developers – representing service providers, educational entities, intermediaries, employers, and funders serving at the local, regional, state, or national levels.

Leadership MAX Class of 2026, Presented by Amazon, Gathers for Managing Organizations Day at Atlanta Tech: The Leadership MAX Class of 2026, presented by Amazon, explored how leaders build strong teams, foster healthy organizational cultures, and navigate complex challenges during Managing Organizations Day on October 8, 2026, at Atlanta Technical College. Board leads Dana Inman, President & CEO of the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, and Dr. Victoria Seals, President of Atlanta Technical College, thoughtfully planned and brought this meaningful learning experience to life for the Class of 2026. The day began with a fireside chat on building strong teams featuring program chairs Jenny Taylor, Chief Mission Officer and Vice President of Career Services at Goodwill of North Georgia, and Kristin Laarhoven, Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Workforce Development at the Technical College System of Georgia.
MAX Academy, Presented by Google and Powered by Georgia State, Helps Workforce Developers Walk in Their Shoes: What does it really take to navigate everyday life when financial resources are limited and unexpected challenges arise? That was the question at the heart of the September 29th MAX Academy: Walking in Their Shoes, A Poverty Simulation Experience, held at Atlanta Technical College’s Cleveland L. Dennard Conference Center. Presented by Google and powered by Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, School of Social Work, Professional Excellence Program, this immersive learning experience invited workforce development professionals to step into the lives of individuals and families struggling to make ends meet. REMINDER: MAX Talks with Centennial Yards to Connect Workforce Partners with Hiring Opportunities for Job Seekers: Centennial Yards is Atlanta’s transformative 50-acre, mixed-use development that is reshaping a historic area of downtown with new office, residential, retail, hospitality, and entertainment spaces while creating significant employment opportunities. The project is expected to create thousands of permanent jobs while also generating construction jobs throughout its multi-year buildout. REMINDER: MAX Minutes with Natalie R. Williams, The Core Method LLC, to Focus on Georgia’s Workforce Readiness: Georgia’s opportunity is no longer simply about job creation. REMINDER: MAX Seeks Nominations for the 2026 Wendell Dallas Excellence in Leadership Award in Honor of Founding Chair: In 2022, the MAX Board of Directors created the Wendell Dallas Excellence in Leadership Award in honor of our founding board chair, Wendell Dallas. This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in providing leadership in workforce development through the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX) and/or MAX partners.
