MAX Academy on Human-Centered Coaching to Provide Continuing Education Hours for CRCs

September 3, 2022

The Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) has approved the MAX Academy on Human-Centered Coaching: Beginning With the End in Mind on September 13th as training that counts as continuing education hours for Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRCs). Special thanks to Goodwill of North Georgia for serving as the sponsor with the CRCC for this workshop.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Powered by the Markle Foundation

Human-Centered coaching, defined as empowering clients to choose based on what matters most to them, is a strategic approach to career coaching that can influence outcomes related to client engagement, job placement, and retention. The Human-Centered approach to coaching develops a partnership between participant and coach that improves participant engagement and accountability.

The objective of this workshop is to assist practitioners in developing and infusing practical applications of Human-Centered coaching throughout the engagement cycle with clients. Through an interactive learning experience, participants will understand the benefits related to human-centered coaching and best practices for implementation.

Trenae Thomas, Manager, Career Coaching Initiatives, with the Markle Foundation, will lead the workshop.

The MAX Academy will take place on Tuesday, September 13th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Atlanta Technical College, Cleveland L. Dennard Conference Center. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

CREDENTIALED TRAINING

Both IAWP and NAWDP recognize training programs held through the MAX Academy as relevant training hours for their certification programs. Hours spent attending MAX Academy workshops can count as training hours for earning a Certified Workforce Professional (CWP) credential from IAWP and also as professional development (continuing education) hours for CWP recertification. For NAWDP’s Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), NAWDP will accept MAX Academy training hours toward the professional development hours required for CWDP recertification.

The Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) has approved this workshop to count for 3 hours of continuing education for Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRCs).

REGISTRATION

Join us for a day of learning and networking! The registration fee for this training is $25.00 for MAX members and $45.00 for non-members.

  • MAX Members: $25.00 for the first registration and $15.00 for each additional registration from the same organization.
  • Non-Members: $45.00 for the first registration and $35.00 for each additional registration from the same organization.
