In August 2015, a coalition of employers launched the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative™ forming the nation’s largest employer-led coalition committed to creating meaningful pathways and hiring at least 1 million opportunity youth by 2021.
With thousands of youth in Atlanta out of school and not working, the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative (100K) is committed to investing in the region. As a first step, the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is partnering with the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX), the City of Atlanta and other key partners to host an Opportunity Fair on May 3rd at the Georgia World Congress Center, the seventh fair of its kind in the nation. It will be an inspirational day connecting young adults to more than 20 leading companies and a full suite of services, empowering workshops, and inspiration to help break down barriers.
