On Monday, July 30th, MAX is excited to host our next MAX Talks event with a focus on workforce in global logistics…
Atlanta is an epicenter for global logistics in the United States with more than 12,300 logistics providers employing over 150,000 Georgians, according to the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Home to the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, our region also houses 16 of the 25 supply chain-related Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. At our next MAX Talks event, we will have an opportunity to learn more about this important base for our region’s economy and insights for our current and future workforce.
Joining us for our next MAX Talks event, hosted by Atlanta Technical College, will be the Technical College System of Georgia’s Brittany Bullock who will share the latest on the overall workforce needs of the transportation, distribution, and logistics sectors. This will be followed by a conversation with Delta Air Lines’ Glen Johnson facilitated by Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Ben Hames.
What started as a humble, little aerial crop dusting operation called Huff Daland Dusters in 1924 has now grown into one of the world’s largest global airlines, helping more than 160 million travelers get to the places they want to go to each year. Mr. Johnson will share the latest on Delta and ways in which workforce developers can further help our region’s home-based transportation giant meet its needs for a ready workforce.
