At our June convening of the MAX Leadership Network, network members heard from Karin VanZant and Jason Anavitarte about CareSource’s work to address the social determinants of health. Their presentation was followed by an exploratory discussion about work underway by partners in the Atlanta region. Much of the discussion focused on how to help individuals earn a living wage at a level that enables them to maintain their households even when they no longer qualify for benefits due to their earned income. Special thanks to CareSource for hosting our meeting.

The MAX Leadership Network is comprised of workforce leaders who convene regularly to strengthen our collective capacity as workforce developers to meet the needs that employers have for a ready workforce. Members of this network come together to jointly do the following:
- Learn more about who is doing what, where, and for whom
- Explore common issues and opportunities, and share ideas for building solutions
- Make new connections and catalyze partnerships
- Keep each other updated and informed on ways we can help each other
