On Monday, February 10th, the MAX Leadership Network convened to learn about and inform the Regional Workforce Initiative that is in the works for the Atlanta region. Special thanks to WorkSource Atlanta Regional for hosting the network convening.
The Regional Workforce Initiative – led by The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Atlanta Regional Commission, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and United Way of Greater Atlanta / Atlanta CareerRise and supported by the Boston Consulting Group – is a strategic planning process to develop a coordinated vision and comprehensive plan for the Atlanta region’s workforce development system. Over the next several months, the Atlanta region’s workforce development stakeholders will engage in a collaborative process with the goal of advancing economic mobility and promoting a competitive metro Atlanta economy by creating an accessible, holistic, and regional workforce system.
MAX Leadership Network members shared their advice and insights to help shape the strategy that begins this work. The Regional Workforce Initiative will be launched through a kick off event on Wednesday, March 4th.
ABOUT THE MAX LEADERSHIP NETWORK
The MAX Leadership Network is comprised of workforce leaders who convene regularly to strengthen our collective capacity as workforce developers to meet the needs that employers have for a ready workforce. Members of this network come together to jointly do the following:
- Learn more about who is doing what, where, and for whom
- Explore common issues and opportunities, and share ideas for building solutions
- Make new connections and catalyze partnerships
- Keep each other updated and informed on ways we can help each other
Members of the Leadership Network represent nonprofit CBOs, technical colleges, state agencies, local workforce boards, chambers of commerce, intermediaries, and other key partners in workforce.
The MAX Leadership Network will convene again on Monday, April 13th.
