As the schools have been back in session in varying forms for a number of weeks now, we are definitely in a new day with respect to the education of our children.
Dr. Barbara Wall, Director of the Career, Technical and Adult Education with the Georgia Department of Education, and Dr. Ken Zeff, Executive Director of Learn4Life joined MAX on October 16th to share their insights on the state of education in the midst of COVID-19 and the constant changes it continues to brings to everyday life. In addition to discussing the short-term impacts on the kids and educational system, Wall and Zeff shared thoughts about the long-term ramifications and the prospects of what education will look like going forward. For example, while not without its challenges, schools have done well to adapt and generate positive outcomes for students in areas such as work-based learning, access to technology, and addressing educational disparities.
