From Google:
At Google, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community. Apprentices become part of our mission to build great products for every user, and their different experiences help ensure that our products are as diverse as our users.
Apprenticeships contribute towards the development of digital skills by providing opportunities for work and study. They can serve as part of your journey to a meaningful career. During the program, apprentices get exposure to different areas and teams at Google, while receiving external training and developing their professional skills on the job.
About the Project Management Apprenticeship
As a Project Management apprentice at Google, you will develop the skills you need to become a Project Manager and get paid in the process. We aim to build a pipeline for the next generation of Project Managers across the industry, actively bridging the gap between technical employment and education.
You’ll be assigned to a team for the duration of your 20-month apprenticeship and will start in October 2021 with a bootcamp delivered by our training partner, followed by hands-on experience at Google. While at Google, your time will be split between external training and practical work experience, and will provide the opportunity to learn and develop your skills while working alongside a team of Program or Project Managers at Google to solve real life problems. Depending on the team, you’ll get the chance to either work on a long-term project or do 2-3 shorter rotations.
We will equip you with everything you need to know to make a meaningful impact as a Project Management apprentice and manage the health of critical projects and programs at Google. You will be mentored and trained in a wide range of project management tools and concepts. Your work will stand alongside that of other Googler Project Managers, making a real difference to users around the world.
This apprenticeship is intended for candidates who are on track to complete a high school degree or GED by October 2021, as well as career changers with previous work experience in any field that is transferable to the Project Management space. If you’re currently pursuing a degree in a project management related field, we encourage you to browse our University Graduate & Internship opportunities.
