Many people who receive government benefits are unable to pursue their career pathway dreams because the next step may mean earning an income that makes them no longer eligible for benefits. Known as the “benefits cliff,” this reality holds back the most vulnerable in our society.
Eric Cochling, Chief Program Officer & General Counsel, Buzz Brockway, Executive Vice President of Public Policy, and Erik Randolph, Director of Research, with the Georgia Center for Opportunity will join MAX to review a new tool they have developed to help stakeholders better understand how the benefits cliff affects individuals and families with very specific characteristics, including the age and sex of the parent, number of children, age of children, income, and other variables.
Join MAX on Friday, May 20th, 9:00 AM for a timely and virtual conversation.
