During our recent MAX Academy, two workforce professionals became new members of MAX through the sponsorship of SOSSI International, a nonprofit led by Dr. Chuck Barlow. MAX is pleased to welcome Rosemerry Redd with the Integrity Transformations Community Development Corporation and Monique Carter with Invest Atlanta to the MAX Membership!
Barlow, a member of the MAX Member Engagement Council, announced the availability of these sponsorships in conjunction with SOSSI International becoming an Advocate Anchor Investor for MAX. The awards were made through a random drawing of MAX Academy participants expressing an interest in joining MAX.
Says Barlow: “MAX has created a space for those committed to youth engagement and workforce readiness to have the tools, resources, and support for strategic partnerships, collective impact, sustainability, and resilience.” Barlow encouraged non-members at the MAX Academy to consider membership and members to consider how to further engage through MAX.
ABOUT THE MAX ACADEMY
Through the MAX Academy, MAX offers professional development and capacity building training workshops to help workforce development professionals develop new skills, learn best practices, connect to resources, and engage in peer-to-peer learning. MAX Academy workshops are all about transferring how-to ideas and knowledge for addressing the most challenging issues faced by workforce developers as they seek to serve the job seeker and employer.
ABOUT THE MAX MEMBER ENGAGEMENT COUNCIL
The MAX Member Engagement Council provides thought leadership regarding how MAX can best serve and engage our members. The council’s work is critical for enabling MAX to meet its mission of strengthening connections, collaborations, and practices among our members and other workforce development organizations.
