Led by the Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) in collaboration with Ford Motor Company, the Ford Urbanite: Atlanta Mobility Challenge aims to identify and support innovative solutions that address Atlanta’s transit and economic mobility challenges and improve transportation access and safety in the Atlanta metro area. Grants of up to $150,000 are available to winning ideas that improve access to transportation and opportunities in Atlanta. The winning solution has the potential to significantly improve mobility for Atlanta residents, particularly women, who often face unique transportation challenges.
The challenge focuses on solutions that address:
- Safety: Enhancing the safety of carpooling experiences, especially for women.
- Access to Transportation: Expanding access to reliable and affordable transportation options.
The Challenge is open to a broad range of applicants, including entrepreneurs, students, educators, and community members. We’re particularly interested in fostering creative solutions focused on:
- Improving accessibility and affordability of transportation
- Bridging the gap between jobs and available transportation options
- Enhancing safety and security for pedestrians and cyclists
Information sessions will be held via Zoom on April 30th and May 14th.
