The Urban League of Greater Atlanta has promoted economic empowerment since our founding more than 100 years ago, as part of a broader, National Urban League network of historic civil rights organizations throughout the United States. NUL affiliates now number 92, all dedicated to fostering economic empowerment to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. We build powerful partnerships to help clients reach their goals through education, homeownership, workforce development and career expansion, entrepreneurship/small business development and growth, civic engagement, and more.
Our mission is to ensure that African Americans and others have access to the tools they need to secure economic stability, equity, social justice, and civil rights. We operate our life-changing programs under five pillars: Human Services, Health & Wellness; Careers, Talent Development, & Workforce Solutions; Entrepreneurship & Economic Development; Housing, Financial Empowerment & Wealth Building; and Legislative Policy, Social Justice & Civic Engagement.

ABOUT THE MAX PROVIDER PORTAL
The MAX Provider Portal was launched in 2014 to help local leaders gain a better understanding of metro Atlanta’s workforce ecosystem – namely, who is doing what, where, and for whom. The portal provides the most comprehensive picture of our workforce ecosystem. Providers in the portal are able to share information on the populations and geographies they serve, the services (job search & placement, post-employment services, supportive services, and soft skills training) they provide, the specific occupations and industries they support, and more. The MAX Provider Council oversees and informs the ongoing development of the MAX Provider Portal.
