The Rework America Alliance is partnering with the Aspen Institute to better learn how employers validate skills and how they view various tools and techniques for doing so. Through a survey administered by by UpSkill America at the Aspen Institute, the partners seek to gain a better understanding of how employers of all types view and value validated skills and verified credentials, as well as products and tools that would best support employers to adopt skills-based practices. The skills-based movement and the emerging fields of skills validation and verified credentials are still very new, but they hold tremendous promise in solving intractable workforce challenges. This survey aims to gain an in-depth understanding of what employers want and need and the technology that best supports employers’ priorities. All data and information collected via the survey will be protected—no identifiable information will be released. There are also opportunities for deeper conversations with the study leaders. All survey respondents will receive the final survey analysis, as well.
