On Friday, November 22nd, Rafael Castaneda, Vice President of Workforce Development and Social Impact, and Sarah Hinstorff, Program Manager, Government & Workforce Partnerships joined MAX to discuss how General Assembly is helping learners upskill and reskill to grow, compete, and thrive in the digital economy. And they discussed how their team is building collaborations and partnerships with colleges, universities, and workforce development providers across the country to reach learners who can benefit from their skills-based training programs.
Castenada reviewed the following:
- Skilling solutions
- Credit articulation with partnering institutions
- Tech employment growth
- The rise of technical certifications
- The demand for cybersecurity professionals
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Hinstorff walked through an example of General Assembly’s partnership with St. Nicks Alliance, a nonprofit that focuses on community development in North Brooklyn, New York. The partners are working to upskill New Yorkers in data analytics skills through coursework, industry certification, and paid internship experiences.
