Amazon has long been a highly impactful partner in metro Atlanta and Georgia’s economic development landscape, accounting for an estimated 34,000 jobs and $18.5 billion in investments within the State of Georgia, according to company records. The multinational conglomerate’s footprint in Georgia includes 22 fulfillment and sortation centers. Amazon’s ATL2 is the company’s Stone Mountain Fulfilment Center, a robotics sortable facility which, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, spans 640,000 square feet or the size of 14 football fields.
On Wednesday, August 27th, MAX Talks with Amazon will provide us with an opportunity to hear from company leaders about their workforce needs within fulfillment centers located across the state.
Following our lunch discussion, guests will be treated to a personal tour of Amazon ATL2 to get a first-hand view of how the fulfillment process works through Amazon’s people and technology.
