MAX ALERT: New Article from Urban Institute Focuses on Importance of Stable and Flexible Scheduling for Low Wage Workers

A new article from the Urban Institute points to the importance of flexible scheduling for low wage workers and how such scheduling is a win-win as employees are happier and companies are more likely to retain their workers. Says the author: “This Labor Day, employers and policymakers can celebrate American workers by taking simple steps to ensure everyone has the time and the resources to live their life outside of work.” These simple steps include early scheduling, protected hours, and allowing for shift swapping or self-scheduling.
