On Wednesday, December 10th, MAX will hold our 5th Annual Meeting of the MAX Membership. This is our time of year when we have an opportunity to gather with our beloved MAX members as we celebrate the year behind and preview the year head.
Our keynote speaker will be Stuart Countess, president & CEO of Kia Georgia. Beginning in 2006, Kia made one of the biggest single foreign investments in the history of Georgia by establishing a state-of-the-art production facility in West Point. Since then, Kia Georgia, along with its suppliers, have helped create more than 14,000 jobs and produced more than 4.6 million vehicles. Prior to multiple leadership roles with Kia Georgia, Countess held leadership roles with Mercedes Benz US International, AUTECS (tier 1 supplier for Nissan and Subaru), and Hughes Georgia, a division of Hughes Aircraft. Countess is also chair of Georgia’s State Workforce Development Board.
At this year’s meeting, we will graduate our Leadership MAX Class of 2025, our initial cohort of our program to support existing and emerging leaders in the workforce field, and announce the members of our Leadership MAX Class of 2026!
During this time, we will also recognize the recipient of the 2025 Wendell Dallas Excellence in Leadership Award, in honor of our founding board chair, Wendell Dallas. This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in providing leadership in workforce development through the Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions (MAX) and/or MAX partners. An individual recognized through this award is known for leading with integrity, devotion, and selflessness in service to others in the workforce development sector.
Last but not least, we will receive updates from MAX Chair Jenny Taylor,chief mission officer and vice president of career services with Goodwill of North Georgia, and the leadership team of MAX. And we will hear from incoming MAX Chair Dana Inman, president & CEO of Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, about her vision for the year ahead.
This event will bring our members together for a time of fun, enlightenment, and fellowship.
