BrainSTEM Alliance is hosting a FLIGHT Atlantic 2024 Virtual Event on Monday, July 15th, starting at 9:00 AM.
FLIGHT (Future Leaders Innovating to Go Higher in Technology) is a virtual introduction to tech entrepreneurship for girls and gender diverse youth aged 13-18 who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color. In this 2-week program, industry professionals will teach students best practices from the design-thinking process, including problem definition and market research. At the end of the program, participants will get the chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for prizes and constructive feedback. FLIGHT Atlantic also includes a one-day conference focused on professional development involving careers in tech and entrepreneurship.
