How is housing a pillar of economic development? Join us for a webinar to answer that question with Chmura’s CEO and Chief Economist Dr. Chris Chmura, and Christopher Lloyd, Sr. VP & Director of Infrastructure and Economic Development at McGuireWoods Consulting. Dr. Chmura will provide a brief overview of the housing market at the national level, detail a recent study commissioned by Virginia Housing summarizing the importance of housing in economic development, and describe a methodology to estimate additional demand for housing needed for business expansion at the local level. Then, Chris Lloyd will describe housing as a vehicle for economic development and detail the benefits of recent policy changes that aim to remove obstacles to housing.
