Jobs for the Future is hosting a Racial and Gender Gaps in Student Financial Insecurity and Proposed Solutions webinar on Monday, April 29th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
During this webinar, Jobs for the Future and Trellis Strategies will present findings from a first of its kind research report, “Unveiling Disparities: A Closer Look at Gender and Racial Difference in Student Financial Insecurity.” Drawing from this large, national survey, we will show how Black and Latine learners were significantly more likely than white students to have needed assistance for food, housing, medical care, utilities, and childcare. Students who are parents face additional financial insecurity across these measures. Learn about the next steps we can take to tackle these challenges and how you can get involved.
