The National League of Cities (NLC) is hosting a webinar on Building Strong Communities: Understanding and Investing in Today’s Youth-Serving Workforce on Wednesday, June 12th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Many cities are recognizing how afterschool programs can support various municipal priorities, including increasing high school graduation and postsecondary degree attainment rates, improving public safety, and supporting the workforce of today and tomorrow. Join NLC, the American Institutes for Research, and other national partners to discuss the landscape of today’s afterschool workforce, how to attract and retain high-quality workers, and ways to support them when programs are facilitated by school districts and/or community-based organizations.
