The National League of Cities (NLC) is hosting a HUD Lead and Healthy Home Action Planning Workshop on Thursday, July 25th, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at the Palmer House Hilton.
All Americans, particularly vulnerable children, deserve healthy and hazard-free housing in order to thrive and reach their full potential. However, older housing stock containing lead, inadequate maintenance, and the toxic remnants of industrialization pose significant health threats in many cities. This in-person workshop will bring federal experts, local leaders, and practitioners together to offer insights, information, and resources to identify and control lead and other housing hazards, along with initial planning to support city leaders.
