The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Atlanta is hosting a webinar, Dear HR: It’s OK to Laugh, on Thursday, February 8^th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

HR can often be seen as the “enforcers” of the organization, and no one enjoys being sent to the principal’s office! Sometimes the HR industry gets so caught up in trying to always be as serious as possible to maintain professionalism that we forget it is OK to connect with our employees with appropriate humor. In the book Humor, Seriously, authors Jennifer Aaker and Naomi Bagdonas detail their research and advice on using humor at work as a secret weapon to build stronger relationships. Building upon those principles, we will explore how HR can bring light and laughter into the workplace in ways that can help you establish more positive relationships and stronger rapport with colleagues and connect with others on a personal level to increase trust and strengthen workplace culture.
