The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Atlanta is hosting Destigmatizing Cancer in the Workplace: The Value Proposition of Managing with Compassion on Thursday, May 22nd, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, at the Invesco Building.
Join us for an engaging luncheon during which we highlight tools and knowledge to cultivate an inclusive and supportive workplace culture that recognizes the challenges employees with cancer and their caregivers face. We’ll cover the common misconceptions surrounding cancer, the business case for compassion, and our inherent legal and ethical responsibilities. In addition to improved morale, productivity, and retention, leaders have opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of employees and the broader organizational culture when individuals feel comfortable sharing their needs.
