The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is hosting a webinar on How Women Leaders Can Scale the Hurdles to Advancement and Rise to New Heights on Friday, March 8th, starting at 2:00 PM.
To challenge the status quo and accelerate our careers, we need to first look within. For women and other underrepresented groups, there are numerous hurdles to overcome to advance in our professional lives and maximize our impact. In this session, Shannon Bayer, Principal Consultant at SHRM, and Sr. Director at SHRM, will first help you understand the internal hurdles facing women as they advance. Then she will sit down with someone who has managed these hurdles, resulting in a wildly successful career: Emmy Award–winning journalist and President and General Manager of Disney’s WABC-TV, Marilu Galvez.
