The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is hosting a webinar on Real Talk: Working Moms, on Friday, March 8^th, starting at 12:00 PM.

Two working moms—Tina Beaty, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer for SHRM; and Cara McNulty, President of Behavioral Health, and Mental Wellbeing for CVS Health—get real on a topic they are both passionate about: navigating the complexities of being both executives in the workplace and nurturing moms at home. In this open and heartfelt conversation, Beaty and McNulty tackle the multifaceted challenges working moms face, share practical tips that sometimes make the juggle manageable, and explore strategies for fostering work environments that support the mental and emotional well-being of working moms—and dads too. They’ll debunk pervasive myths surrounding work-life balance, which often suggests an attainable perfect equilibrium. Instead, we acknowledge the continuous effort to integrate professional responsibilities, children’s needs, and personal care. Their presentation confronts misconceptions head-on, such as the false notion that prioritizing family means a lack of commitment to one’s career, or the misunderstanding of post-partum depression as anything less than a significant, and very real, mental health challenge.
