WorkforceGPS is hosting a webinar on 2024 Updated National Dislocated Worker Grant Program Policy Overview on Friday, January 10th, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. \
This webinar will highlight the key program policies, priorities, and application changes announced in the Updated National Dislocated Worker Grant Program Guidance and Application Information Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 09-24. Granted by the Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (ETA), DWGs provide supplemental funding in response to layoffs and disaster events that cause or contribute to a shortage of existing Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Dislocated Worker formula funds and other relevant resources in states and local areas, creating challenges to providing workforce services to eligible participants. DWGs enable states and communities to respond to and recover from large, often unexpected dislocation events and their associated impacts via Disaster or Economic Recovery type DWGs. Webinar presenters will discuss the major changes to DWG Program Guidance detailed in the updated TEGL.
