MAX JOB BOARD: Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Seeks Community and Economic Development Advisor

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta seeks qualified candidates for the newly created position of Community and Economic Development (CED) Advisor position, with a specialization in engagement to work in the Center for Workforce and Economic Opportunity (CWEO).

The CWEO is a national center on workforce development, education and employment policies and labor market issues that affect low and moderate income individuals. The center aims to increase economic opportunity by producing research, engagement, and programming to facilitate innovation and adoption of promising policies and practices.

The CWEO’s Engagement Adviser or Senior Adviser will help lead the Center’s growing national engagement program working with national intermediaries, philanthropy, business organizations, and across the Federal Reserve System. The Adviser will be responsible for developing and implementing programming that helps advance innovative solutions to scaling workforce development programs, access to education, driving innovation and investment in training, and broadly resolving labor market challenges and increasing opportunity. The CWEO will be launching engagement programming focused on workforce development finance innovation in the near future. The adviser will be responsible for working with CWEO staff on developing future engagement topics and models and building on and leveraging national partnerships.

The Adviser will also be responsible for building and managing CWEO engagement programming and outreach. Candidates should have strong communications, relationship building, and project management skills. The ability to present and speak on behalf of the CWEO and as a representative of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is desired. Experience writing published research and policy briefs is desired. Experience working in or partnering with workforce development, community development, policy development, or philanthropy is desired. Experience managing and staffing complex multi-partner initiatives is desired.
