With access to insights from over 167 million workers in the U.S. with LinkedIn profiles and more than 20,000 companies in the U.S. that use LinkedIn to recruit, the business and employment-oriented service company’s LinkedIn Workforce Report is a monthly report on employment trends in the U.S. workforce. According to LinkedIn, over 3 million jobs are posted on LinkedIn every month, and members can add over 35,000 skills to their profiles. The report includes localized information for 20 major metro areas, including Atlanta.
Subject to the degree at which individuals update their profiles, the report provides a snapshot on hiring activities, the skills that are more or less abundant, and workforce migration patterns. For example, the February 2020 report indicates that hiring in metro Atlanta was 12.9% higher in January 2020 than in January 2019, more than doubling what was experienced in the U.S. as a whole.
The February report reviews year-over-year changes as well as migration patterns.
