CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPERS

MAX JOB BOARD: Atlanta CareerRise Seeks Director to Lead Its Efforts as Managing Partner of Westside Works

November 25, 2020

Atlanta CareerRise, a regional workforce development intermediary and philanthropic funders collaborative, is recruiting a director to lead its emerging role as managing partner of Westside Works. Westside Works is a neighborhood-based workforce collaborative with the goal of transforming the Westside community, including Vine City, English Avenue, Castleberry Hill and Greater Metro Atlanta through increased access to job training, education services, and good jobs. The Westside Works Director will be responsible for developing a labor-market informed strategy to provide high quality workforce, education, and employment services by utilizing a network of provider partners to establish and support career pathways for residents on the Westside of Atlanta.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Atlanta CareerRise, the Westside Works Director will focus on the cultivation of employer-driven partnerships in select industry sectors while working with training providers to develop high-quality service delivery with demonstrated outcomes. Success will be defined by meeting employer needs for a competitive workforce, increasing career advancement opportunities and support services for low-wage/low-skilled entry-level job seekers and incumbent workers, increasing funder participation, securing direct and leveraged public/private funding, and ensuring effective use of public/private resources and systems. The Westside Works Director must be passionate about the mission of the collaborative and have a strong commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.
