MAX ALERT: Goodwill of North Georgia and Partners Selected to Represent Atlanta Region in Rework America Alliance

May 9, 2021

From Goodwill of North Georgia:

Together with Atlanta CareerRise/Metro Atlanta Industry Partnerships, Equity at Work, Metro Atlanta Chamber/Opportunity ATL and MAX (Metro Atlanta eXchange for Workforce Solutions), at Goodwill of North Georgia we are pleased to share that we have been selected as an inaugural cohort of communities in the Rework America Alliance – a national partnership of 30+ leading organizations focused on enhancing quality job access and alignment for underserved populations. This Alliance, led by the Markle Foundation with key leadership support from the Center for Workforce and Economic Opportunity at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, McKinsey & Co. and the National Urban League.

The Atlanta Region was selected as one of five initial regions to work in partnership with the Alliance leadership to help deploy tools, resources, research and technical assistance to create a stronger workforce ecosystem alignment that will lead to more quality job opportunities, enhanced job coaching approaches and skills-based shifts in industry practices to create better labor market outcomes for un- and underemployed workers. This cohort includes Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Finger Lakes Region, NY; and Minneapolis, MN. We were selected from a large group of interested communities based on the work we’ve done so far and the strengths of our community relationships.

Our inclusion in this partnership speaks to the success of our work to date and we look forward to learning from our peer communities and expanding our impact through the power of this national Alliance.
