MAX Talks with Alcon: A Lunch-n-Learn + Tour Powered by the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, provides innovative products that enhance quality of life by helping people see better. It is the largest eye care device company in the world.

One of Alcon’s most strategic locations is in Johns Creek, Georgia. At Alcon’s Johns Creek production, R&D, and distribution facilities, the company employs 2,200 people and manufactures 5 million contact lenses daily.

On Friday, June 16th, Shay Foley, General Manager for Alcon will join the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance and MAX to discuss Alcon’s current and future workforce needs.

This lunch-n-learn event will be held at Alcon’s Johns Creek facilities, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Guests can also register for a personal tour of Alcon’s facilities before or after the event.

Tour attendees will see their AMAZING modern manufacturing facility showcasing their advanced processes.

TOUR AGENDA

  • 10:30   – 10:45 am      Registration, Networking, Welcome
  • 10:45   – 11:30 am      Morning Tour (Option 1)
  • 11:30   –  1:30 pm       MAX Talks Meeting and Lunch
  • 1:30   – 3:30 pm      Afternoon Tour (Option 2)

TOUR REQUIREMENTS

  1. U.S. Citizens Only — Valid Drivers License Required.
  2. No Cell Phones or Photos on the plant floor.

REGISTRATION

The registration fee for this event is $20.00 for MAX members. Lunch will be provided.

Per the company’s request, this event has a limited capacity for MAX and GMA members. Space is available for up to 30 MAX members for lunch. MAX members can choose to register for the morning tour with lunch OR the afternoon tour with lunch. Event registrations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

MAX Members: You should have received an email with links to register for either the morning tour and lunch or afternoon tour and lunch. Due to the limited capacity, please only register if you are confident you can attend and can attend one of the tours. If you have any questions or did not receive the email, contact Joy Wilkins.
