MAX ALERT: Goodwill of North Georgia Launches Electric Car Charging Station Tech Training Program

December 3, 2023

Through the newly formed Goodwill of North Georgia Clean Tech Infrastructure Academy, hands-on training is now available for electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) operations and maintenance (Electric Car Charging Stations). The successful growth of electric vehicles will depend upon reliable charging stations to power clean and green transportation. EVSE technicians are the backbone of charging infrastructure support and uptime.

If selected for the training course, participants will participate in an intensive four-week earn-while-you-learn program that leads to industry-recognized certifications and job placement support.

The Clean Tech Infrastructure Academy is made possible through the support of the U.S. Department of Labor and administration of Atlanta Regional Commission. CTIA benefits from the supportive partnership of Accenture, ACSS, Atlanta Technical College, BDI, CareerRise, CHI, Georgia Power, gm, MARTA, MAX, and WorkSource Atlanta Regional. Click here for a flyer.

On Monday, December 4th, Goodwill of North Georgia’s Decatur Career Center (2201 Lawrenceville Highway, Decatur, GA) will host an information session on the EVSE technician training program, beginning at 1:00 PM. Contact the Goodwill of North Georgia Decatur Career Center to learn more at 404-554-9600. For more information on the info session, contact Debra Young at dyoung@ging.org.
