CareerRise is thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Workforce Excellence Summit, taking place on Thursday, May 16th, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at Zoo Atlanta. This event promises to be a dynamic gathering of leaders and innovators in the field of workforce development, offering invaluable insights and networking opportunities.
As part of the summit, CareerRise is excited to launch the call for nominations for the 2024 Workforce Excellence Awards in the following categories:
- The Cinda Herndon-King Award for Excellence in Workforce Partnerships: Recognizing organizations that have demonstrated innovation in creating collaborative, employer-driven career training programs in the metro Atlanta region. These programs create family-sustaining wage opportunities, foster career pathways, and champion economic mobility.
- The Doug Hooker Award for Excellence in Workforce Equity: Celebrating businesses, organizations, and partnerships that are driving more equitable service delivery practices and outcomes by bringing together employers, education and workforce development entities, and economic development organizations.
- The Mike Kenig Award for Excellence in Quality Careers: Honoring high-performing businesses that have implemented innovative practices and strategies to support their employees, create high-quality jobs, and foster engaging workplaces. These employers have shown strong engagement and support for workforce initiatives through partnerships, career pathways, and professional development.
Workforce partners are invited to submit nominations for these prestigious awards. Submissions are due by Thursday, March 21st at 5:00 PM. Award recipients will be recognized at the 3rd Annual Workforce Excellence Summit on May 16, 2024, at Zoo Atlanta.
