MAX ALERT: Brandywine Cares, Inc. Unveils CareerKick Program for Atlanta’s Youth, Ages 16-24

March 11, 2024

In alignment with Brandywine Care’s commitment to promoting economic pathways to opportunity for individuals and our communities through employment and financial wellness, the CareerKick Program, is set to launch on March 19th. This program will connect Atlanta’s youth (16-24), with the thriving job market and high-potential careers that define our vibrant city. The aim is to challenge our youth to do a little self-exploration and prep work to become one of the employees that our local Atlanta employers just can’t live without.

CareerKick surpasses the conventional kickstart to a job. It offers Professional Development Workshops that help youth:

  • Identify their skills and passions and match them to jobs, industries and employers – when you are good at what you do and you like it, you’ll excel!
  • Create a resume tailored to their skills and passions, using AI
  • Sharpen their interviewing and general written and verbal communication skills
  • Identify the basic “hard” office skills needed – Microsoft Office suite and other technology
  • Identify the basic “soft” office skills needed – to fit in and excel, understanding corporate culture and communicating effectively in the workplace
  • Practice the latest job searching techniques

Brandywine Cares will work with participants to write the resume, create or optimize a LinkedIn account and coach participants one-on-one, until they get that perfect position that aligns with their skills and passions and sets them up to achieve their goals.
