The Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Workforce Development administers the Rapid Response services for employers and individuals in the state of Georgia. These services are available for employers who are downsizing or at-risk for closure and for individuals affected by employment loss.
TCSG has recently launched a Rapid Response online tool to make it easier for employers and individuals to access the help they need. Individuals who have been laid off and employers closing operations or laying off workers can visit www.GANewJob.com to connect to helpful resources.
Rapid Response is a proactive and customized statewide service that helps Georgia employers:
- Avert layoffs, downsizing, and permanent closures;
- Receive immediate aid to affected companies and their affected workers.
- Access public and private resources to minimize disruptions associated with job loss; and
- Assist workers through the painful transitions associated with job loss.
