MAX ALERT: Georgia Power + CareerRise Invite Metro Atlanta Educators to Apply for a 2024 Summer Educator Externship

Georgia Power and CareerRise have partnered to offer a unique professional and immersive learning experience for metro Atlanta educators. The program – known as the Summer Educator Externship – will be held this year from June 17th to June 20th, 2024 in Atlanta.

The Educator Externships will present information on high-demand careers, student exposure opportunities, training programs, and more. Participants will explore connections between academic learning and the workplace.

Educators can select from two tracks that to strengthen their knowledge and bring relevance to preparing students for the workforce

  • Track 1 with Georgia Power will focus on in-demand careers within the energy industry.
  • Track 2 with CareerRise will focus on careers within in-demand industries within metro Atlanta. These industries include Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Information Technology (IT), Skilled Trades, and Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics (TDL).
